In the era of silent films, tapers served the cinema by voicing screen stories. Movies came to life in front of the public. With the advent of sound films, the profession of a taper has become less popular. But art has not disappeared.
On March 4 ,in Louisville (Kentucky), the presentation of the film «You are not alone!» opened with piano chords, allowing the audience to immediately be transported to the atmosphere of the early 20th century. From the first seconds, the audience’s attention was focused on the screen, as the composer Guli Kambarova (piano) and Samir Kambarov (saxophone) played music written for the film in complete darkness.
At the end of the evening, those present were happy to share their impressions of what they saw and heard.
