Anna Barsukova

Anna was born in the city of Nikopol, Ukraine.
From an early age she activelly pursues a career in sports and music. Many times a participant rhytmic gymnastics competitions, she started playing the Russian accordion at 5 under the direction of her father.
At age 10 she gave her first concert as a violinist in his native city of Ordzhonikidze.
In the following years she received many awards First prize at the regional competitions of violinists.
In 1997 Anne entered the Zaporizhzhya Specialized Music School named after Platon Mayboroda from which she graduated with two degrees: orchestra conducting and violin teaching and performance.
In 2006 Ms. Barsukova graduated from the Rostov State Rachmaninoff Conservatory with Masters of Music degree in Violin Performance.
During the years in the conservatory her life was full with creative experiences: listening and writing poetry, playing violin as a solo and chamber musician, joining different music ensembles and bands.
Many times Anna shared the stage with the greatest musicians of our time.
As a guest performer at the Contemporary Music festivals «Rostov Premieres»
she performed pieces by
Yuri Falik (St. Petersburg),
Roman Ledenev (Moscow),
Tolib-khon Shakhidi,
Vladimir Tornopolsky,
Alexander Tchaikovsky (Moscow),
Giya Kancheli (Georgia-Belgium),
Valentin Silvestrom (Ukraine), among others.
As a member of the conservatory orchestra she played alongside Yuri Bashmet (viola), Sergei Yakovenko (baritone), Sergei Slovachevsky (cello), Germany duo of Tatiana Blome (piano) and Frank Lunte (saxaphone)
Besides that, Anna was a regular member of the Rostov conservatory string quartet and premiered a number of new compositions by Dovlet Anzarakov, Anna Nazaruk, Vyacheslav Nozdrachev and Gyuli Kambarova.
In 2015 Ms. Barsukova entered the The Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography in Rostov-on-Don from which she had graduated as a film director with honors.
